Boker Knives in Solingen has, once again, incorporated military history into meaningful, contemporary cutlery pieces. Boker has taken the iconic MG-42 machine gun and, along with Chad Nichols, created this beautiful dagger.
The 121506DAM measures 9-3/4" overall and has a 5-1/4" blade. The .20" thick, double edged, fine edge blade is dagger ground on both sides. It if forged by Chad Nichols from steel from the MG-42 into 40 layer Damascus in the Low Layer Raindrop pattern. A discreet hollow groove is in the centerline of both sides. The double finger guard and pommel are made of brushed, solid stainless steel. The pommel design makes reference to the MG-42 cooling fins and gas outlets of the recoil amplifier. A beautiful piece of Hornbeam Ironwood completes the classic dagger handle. For carrying, a traditional leather dagger sheath is supplied. Each knife is individually serial numbered and comes in a very nice display box with certificate of authenticity.
This MG-42 Dagger is hand made in Solingen, Germany and is brought to you by Knife Command.
