The GFK is approximately 12" in overall length with a 6-3/4" blade.  The black KalGard coated blade is forged from Eickhorn Professional steel (HRC 57).  The blade has a traditional hollow ground dagger design that provides superior strength and penetrating ability.   It features both fine cutting edges along with 1-3/4" of laser cut serrations.  Each knife is individually serial numbered and carries the NSN# 1095-99-153-9227..  The maintenance free, ergonomically designed British Tan all weather handle grip is made to MIL specifications.  It is a glass-fiber reinforced polyamide handle with an exposed tang at handle end for glass breaking.

The Tan polyamide sheath with has a strap on the back which enables it to be adapted for all US MOLLE and German IDZ carrying systems of the German Bundeswehr.  There is also a diamond sharpening surface on mounted on the sheath.
