The Eickhorn Solingen PRT-VIII SGT rescue knife has been developed with special recommendations from professionals that deal with emergencies and rescues, often at night or in dark places.
This knife features a, 3.3", half serrated, 2.5mm thick, spearpoint blade made from 1.4110 stainless steel with a luminous self charging SGT coating. It is 8.1" open length, 4.8" closed. It has a maintenance free, ergonomically designed, all weather handle also of SGT Coated AIMg3 aluminum with a slip-resistant, textured rubber inset. At the butt end, there is a hardened carbide glass breaker mounted just behind an integrated belt cutter with replaceable blade. There are stainless steel liners with a liner lock mechanism. The lock is disengaged by a large button on one side. The blade also has a large thumb disc for easy opening, even when wearing gloves. For carrying, there is a stainless steel pocket clip.
The PRT-VIII SGT comes in an Eickhorn Solingen box complete with a blade pivot tensioning key.
