The Eickhorn Solingen THW PRT-II rescue knife has been developed with recommendations and input from Technisches Wilfswerk (THW), the federal civil protection organization of Germany.
This knife features a, 3.3", half serrated, 2.5mm thick, spearpoint blade made from stainless Böhler N695 steel (HRC 58) with a luminous self charging SGT coating. It is 8.1" open length, 4.8" closed. It has a maintenance free, ergonomically designed, all weather handle of blue anodized, AIMg3 aluminum. At the butt end, there is a hardened carbide glass breaker mounted just behind an integrated belt cutter with replaceable blade. There are stainless steel liners with a liner lock mechanism.
