Product Description
Knife Command brings you the Fox Knives 478 Aluminum Karambit. Carry one into harm's way, or for self defense.
The 478 is 7-3/4" open, and 5-1/2" closed. It has a claw curved karambit style blade of satin finished N690Co stainless steel. The blade can be deployed in three ways...flipper tang, thumb hole, or via the patented Emerson Wave feature. The ergonomic handle is made of grey T6-6061 aircraft aluminum. The aluminum handles cover stainless steel liners with a liner lock. The stainless steel pocket clip is reversible for right or left hand, tip-up carry.

Solid self defense knife
Very solid knife and a really good self defense tool. When done properly, the deployment of the knife is extremely quick and efficient. If you buy this knife for self defense I would recommend train/practice deploying it. The last thing you want is to be caught in a situation and not know how to properly deploy it.

Pocket Fillet Knife
I originally wanted the Fox 599 but was unable to locate one at a decent price. Then I found this site knifecommand.com and glad I did. They also did not offer the 599, so I began looking at the 479, and made the purchase. This knife is like a loaded weapon in your pocket that NEVER runs out of ammo. It comes to you DANGEROUSLY SHARP, so be careful. The fit, finish and lock-up and spot on perfection. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT try training or flipping with this knife, as you may end up at the local ER. I used 3M Blue Painters Tape and taped the edge up completely. This allowed me to train with the knife without having to spend more $$$ on a blunt trainer. It's great b/c it's the actual knife you will carry. All in all, I am VERY pleased with this Fox 479 Karambit. If you purchase this 479 be advised that the grip is a little large, but I actually prefer it this way.
