This is a Rare Fox Knives A.L.S.R. (Air, Land & Sea Rescue) knife which was developed in collaboration with the Italian Police and Crew of the assault helicopters AugustaWestland AW129 “Mangusta". We have the last of them.
The FX-447/2 BL is 9-1/2" open, 5-3/4" closed length. It weighs in at 7.3 ounces. The 3-3/4" main blade is of black PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coated N690Co stainless steel, HRC 58-60. It features a curved fine cutting edge followed by about 1" of serrations. It has a large thumb hole for easy one-hand opening. The secondary blade has 2-3/4" of highly aggressive double saw teeth with a thumb stud and nail nick for opening. Both blades feature black steel liner locks and also L.A.W.K.S. safety lever locks. The handle is milled and textured Blue G-10. The butt end of the knife has an integral belt cutter, a hardened steel glass breaker point, and a lanyard hole. The Black pocket clip is reversible for right or left hand carry. A Black FKMD cordura belt sheath is included with Molle compatible loops. For maintenance and clip removal, there is a wrench included.
