Product Description
The Official Swiss Border Guard Neck Knife is now produced by H.P. Klotzli in Switzerland. Designed in collaboration with the Swiss Border Guard, this is their official neck knife.
This one-piece knife is 6-5/16" long with a 2-3/4" blade. It is hand ground of Bohler N690 stainless steel. The knife is 3mm thick and weighs 2.25 ounces. There are ribs on top and a finger groove handle for a secure grip. The knife has a Stonewash finish and comes with a dark blue paracord lanyard. The Swiss Border Guard logo is on one side of the handle. For carrying, a black kydes sheath is provided. The sheath and be carried as a neck knife with the attached blue paracord, or the included belt loop can be attached for belt or strap carry. It can be conveniently carried as a neck knife, boot knife, or on a belt or pack.

Pricey but worth it
Beautiful little backup. The expected Swiss quality is taken to the next level by the folks at Klötzli. I discovered them about 20 years ago, and since then, their knives have become for me classic examples of the "buy once, cry once" philosophy.
Same situation with this knife... the kydex is beautifully done, with a perfect fit, no rattling around at all. Little details like subtly dehorning the edges of the sheath and the knife are also taken care of, and the edge is excellent. Yes, it's very expensive, but in my opinion it's also very much worth it.
